This post is in relation to my first post about ‘Art’. In there I mentioned about the theory of mimesis in relation to art which was introduced by a well known philosopher, Plato and its counterpart was done by Aristotle. So here is a new post that explains this theory of mimesis.

                                                                 An Experience To Remember

I was asked by our principal of St. Andrews College, Dr. Marie Fernandes, if I’d like to go for a talk by President Obama. I replied, “Yes, of course.”

Even though I am not a great follower of him, I knew I was about to meet the most powerful man in the world, and that was enough to keep me excited. I felt lucky when I learnt that I along with 9 other students from St. Andrews college were among the fortunate 300 students from six colleges across the city who were about to attend the Town Hall meeting with Mr. Barack Obama. Calls from officials at mid night for verification, trips to police station, submission of various identity proofs and all the gruelling security procedures we went through almost a week before the Town Hall event.
