Language Of the 21st century

As a girl of the 21st century who is totally into the use of technology in all forms is also the victim who is been using abbreviation of words or also called the technology or SMS language. The short forms used in this language have dourly led to the ruination of my English Language with spellings and formation of sentence and maybe the same with others too.
It all started with the use of text messaging. We try to type as less as we can, with replacement of words by a single letter or digit which have the same sound (for e.g. ‘C’ for see, ‘U’ for you, ‘4’ for four, ‘2’ for to etc.) At times we also replace the syllable within the word with a digit (for e.g. ‘l8er’ for later, 2mrw for tomorrow etc.) Texting has also led to the evolution of acronyms, where the letter of the words in phrases are used, such as ‘LOL’ for ‘laugh out loud’, ‘BTW’ for ‘by the way’, ‘IRL’ for ‘in real life’,’ JTLYK’ for’ just to let you know’, ‘BRB’ for ‘be right back’ and many many more. Also we use ‘emoticons’, that express mood and also the facial expression such as ‘:D’ for ‘laughter’, ‘J’ for a ‘smile’, ‘L’ for a ‘sad face’, ‘;(‘ for a ‘cry’, ‘:P’ for ‘sticking tongue out.
It more over increased with the constant use of E-mails, Online Chats and Blogging too. English continues to change with the influence of all kinds. The influence of technology is highly dynamic in nature and I along with many are experiencing it almost every day and mainly the reason for the forgotten English with spellings and formation of sentence.

HAPPY DIWALI!

I like the light that glows from the Diyas at night, where they light clay lamps filled with oil to signify the triumph of good over evil...I like looking at Rangoli as they are meant to be sacred welcoming areas for the Hindu deities.
This is festival of light that brings happiness in abundance and brightens your life along!

‘Hinglish’- Becomes the country’s most important language

http://www.onehourtranslation.com/translation/blog/hinglish

In our country India, language has changed, those two languages which have been widely spoken in India and that is Hindi and English. The molten mixture of these two languages forms what is well known as ‘Hinglish’.

English language is an essential skill for success where as Hindi is our national and also local language. But what amazes me is that how these two languages are spoken with its mixture.

This language on the whole is an unintentional code-switching effort, with speakers who freely tend to mix between English and Hindi with its word and sentences. Most of the speakers don’t realize that they use such mixture of language and when they switch between these two languages. They just tend to use the best words to express their thoughts with the language they know.

Happiness

"Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony."
-Mahatma Gandhi
Happiness is what we all seek for and long for. We all act greedy when it comes to happiness. It is everlasting pursuit of life, the unquenchable thirst and the voracious hunger of all human kind.
We are not born with a sunny temperament, like being happy for ever. But we all can learn how to bring positivity in us by generating meaning and satisfaction into our lives. Happiness has many meaning attached to it, it means different to different people.

“Happiness is not something readymade. It comes from your own actions.”
-Dalai Lama XIV

The Way You Appear - Results to Rejection?

Physical appearance plays an integral role when it comes to interpersonal attraction. We all try our best to look physically attractive as possible; it is not at all surprising that most of us do everything we can, to enhance it. It would be right for me to say; even people who are extremely attractive tend to worry about their appearance from time to time. After all, we all fear rejection, if the society don’t like the way we look. In other words, most people experience what is known as appearance-rejection sensitivity from time to time.

The Internet Revolution

The Internet Revolution

Internet has generated a great amount of impact on society. Internet was first originated during the time of Cold War era.  It happened because the US feared nuclear attack from Soviet Union. Hence the computer scientist planned, designed and implemented ARPANET, the forerunner of the internet. Each networked computer passes along a message to another in the direction of the messages destination which is recognized by its address, by using open satellite telephone line.
ARPANET is a form of computer network which was designed for defence purpose which later evolved into internet during the late 1980s, this evolution happened when the number of users in the US and then in the other countries also began to increase tremendously. In comparison to other means of communication, internet is quicker, cheaper and more reliable.  A very rapid rate of adoption of the internet, including the WWW (World Wide Web) came into existence during the time 1990.Internet has been considered as one of the great transformational technologies.
